Niagara Falls & Niagara on the lake, Canada
1 Day in Niagara Falls
Where to Stay...
Treat Yourself: Marriott Niagara Falls
This is a great spot in Niagara Falls - make sure you get a fallsview room if you are going to splurge. There is also a spa, a swimming pool and restaurants all around the hotel.
Affordable: Best Western Hotel
Unless you do Airbnb outside of the downtown you won’t really find too many boutique hotels in Niagara, as it’s very touristy.
10:00am - Start your day off in full tourism mode with a breakfast buffet at The Hilton overlooking the falls. Make sure you request to sit by the window!
11:00am - Head to the official zoo of tourism, Clifton Hill, for mazes, scary houses, a wax museum and a ton of touristy shops.
12:30pm - Walk along the falls boardwalk to lunch at Queen Victoria Place Restaurant overlooking the falls.
1:30pm - Niagara Falls is the tourist destination so you really won't have a hard time finding something to do. If you want to experience the falls the best thing to do is the cruise through the falls that takes you right into the action. If you don't feel like being that close to tons of flowing water you can zipline over the falls - but expect to wait in a long line.
3:00pm - Shopping at the Canada One Outlet This outdoor mall is great for some quick shopping and great deals!
5:00pm - Grab some drinks at Copacabana This Brazilian steakhouse is a great spot to grab a drink or a full dinner!
7:00pm - Head out for dinner by the Fallsview Casino. There are a ton of restaurants lining this strip including The Keg, Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and a bit further down you can find Outback Steakhouse and Milestones. You could also make reservations at the Skylon Tower Revolving Restaurant that overlooks the falls and the city below.
9:00pm - After dinner you can easily walk to the Fallsview Casino for a look around or spend and hopefully win some money! Or hop on a bus/take a taxi to the Ferris Wheel looking over the falls for a nightly light show and occasional fireworks!
