3 DAYS IN WASHINGTON, D.C.

Where to Stay...

Treat Yourself:  Sofitel Washington, D.C. Lafayette Square

Set in downtown on the corner of Layayette Square which borders the White House, this upscale hotel is close to all major attractions. Amenities include a restaurant serving French bistro cuisine, a chic lounge bar and a fitness centre.

Affordable: Kimpton Donovan House

This hotel isn't totally affordable but you can find great deals and I think it's worth it because this hotel has a rooftop pool with a beautiful lounge area overlooking Washington and a cocktail bar! This hotel also offers free breakfast to start each day right!

Day 1:

9:00am - Head to The Founding Farmers for breakfast!

12:30pm - Lunch at Pizzeria Paradiso  This spot serves up signature pizzas with an extensive beer list in a cute brick-walled setting.

4:00pm - Before Dinner or after dinner you should get drinks at Bar Deco If you visit D.C. in the summer I would highly recommend enjoying this spots rooftop patio. The interior is a former industrial site, with huge bars and wood grills and makes for a super fun night!

7:00pm - Dinner at Carmine's Italian Restaurant for Southern Italian cuisine. Even though this is a chain the location in D.C. is beautiful, located in a sprawling 1930s-style dining hall.
